For those who like their trail running BIG, we give you the ELEMENT TRAIL SERIES — five unforgettable events inspired by the power and raw beauty of the five elements: Earth, Aether, Water, Fire and Air.
This is trail running that goes beyond the ordinary. A series designed to ignite your spirit, test your limits and take you places that will stay with you long after the finish line.
* BIGMUD EARTH TRAILS - Claw your way over muddy hills, conquer rain-soaked valleys and embrace the wild, untamed trails beneath your feet.
* BIGBEYOND AETHER TRAILS - Run into the darkness beneath a blanket of stars, guided by your headtorch and the determination to keep moving.
* BIGSEA WATER TRAILS - Take on an ancient, rugged coastline where the elements collide and every step is an adventure.
* BIGHEAT FIRE TRAILS - Dig deep, push harder and keep moving beneath the relentless heat of the sun, when what burns inside you matters more than ever.
* BIGSKY AIR TRAILS - Run beneath endless skies, across open landscapes and into the freedom of the great outdoors, where the horizon is your only limit.
Each event brings its own character, its own challenges and its own rewards. Together, they form a trail running series that will Awaken you, Challenge you and Inspire you.
50k Championship 2027
New for 2027, the Element Trail Series 50k Championship! This 5-race Ultramarathon series is designed to test your grit, speed and endurance across changing terrain & seasons. To crown our ultimate champions, we use a scoring system that heavily rewards both elite performance and race-to-race consistency.
The 50k Championship will take place within the 50k race at each Element Trail Series event. We have added this component to the events to offer something extra to those runners who wish to add a bit more competition to their race day.
Points are awarded to the top 10 male & female finishers in the 50k races at each Element Trail Series event. To reward those who attack the course and hunt for the win, a significant “podium bonus” is given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
After the final event in the series, BigSky, we will crown our male & female champions for the 2027 Element Trail Series. Will that person be you? Do you have it within you?
