New Forest Xmax Trails

15k / 30k / Mara / 50k 

 

Start your festive season with Bigfeat Events at our Christmas Trail Running Festival, set in the beautiful winter wonderland location of the New Forest National Park. 
The New Forest Xmas Trails event has been designed by trail runners for trail runners!
With 15K, 30K, Marathon and 50K distances to choose from, and a perfect winter setting, you'll be able to kick off your Christmas holidays with one last Bigfeat hurrah!

 

 

DESCRIPTION

All distances are on challenging but runnable, fully marked 1 lap off road courses, that start in the awesome and adventurous surroundings of Holmesly Campsite in Bransgore, before heading out onto the frosty white heathland and Narnia-esque woodland of the New Forest National Park.

 

START/FINISH LOCATION

Holmesly Campsite. Forest Rd, Burley, Christchurch BH23 7EQ

DISTANCES & PRICES

15km - £32

30km - £42

Marathon - £50

50km Ultramarathon - £58

 

REGISTRATION 

All runners will collect your race bibs from the registration tent at start location.

Registration is open from 7am – 7:45am

 

START TIME

15k & 30k - 9am

Marathon & 50K Ultra - 8am

 

MANDATORY KIT

* 30k, Marathon and 50k runners will be required to carry at least 500ml of fluid with them. Most will have      hydration vests but handheld soft flasks will be permitted.

* Waterproof jacket, Hat, Gloves and Buff

* We also strongly advise runners to download the GPX file of the route onto a wearable watch or mobile device. Although this is a marked course event, arrows can be tampered with, so a good understanding of the route is advisable.

* Foil blanket or orange survival bag (If you fall in bad weather, it may take a while for medical team to reach you)

* Mobile phone

 

BAG DROP

Bag drop tents for each distance will be available on the day, in the start/finish area

 

CUT OFF TIMES

15k -  3 hours

30k - 5 hours

Marathon - 8 hours

50k - 8 hours

 

TREES NOT TEES

We work with the Trees Not Tees organization. Runners can opt to have a tree planted instead of receiving a finishers medal.
